The Treasury Client Solutions Department is a client facing transaction structuring and execution team that provides IFC’s clients with fixed income financing solutions. The group has global responsibility for derivative transactions, structured products, IFC's local currency solutions, and debt capital markets initiatives. The team takes pride in contributing to innovative / first-time transactions in many emerging markets providing solutions to IFC’s clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an area of strategic priority for IFC, to gain experience in fixed income finance and exposure to a wide range of local debt capital markets, cross-currency derivatives markets and structured products across Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Central Asia. Note: If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. All others will be offered a 3 year term appointment. Duties and Accountabilities: • Contribute to the structuring and execution of investment transactions involving structured products, derivatives, and other capital market instruments; • Engage in the structuring and execution of local currency funding transactions in domestic debt capital markets; • Play a key role in managing the preparation and execution of IFC’s local currency bond issuances; • Build financial models associated with the structuring and pricing of transactions; • Create presentations for investment review meetings and prepare memos for internal approvals; • Conduct market research in local and international FX and debt capital markets; • Contribute to business development and the marketing of treasury products to clients; • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including international investment banks, local banks, capital market firms, investors, and regulators; • Participate in negotiations and travel as required.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial engineering, or a quantitative field; • 2+ years relevant transaction experience in financial markets, preferably in fixed income and/or structured finance within an investment bank, rating agency, or other capital markets related institution; • Theoretical or practical knowledge of FX markets, debt capital markets, and/or structured finance, and enthusiasm for the development of domestic capital markets; • Advanced data analysis and management skills and good knowledge of information platforms, including Bloomberg or Reuters; • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills; advanced knowledge of Excel and other statistical software packages is a plus; • Ability to multi-task and to pay attention to detail under tight deadlines; • Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work in a team; • Ability to thrive in a transaction driven environment; • Excellent communication skills.
