Job Description: The International Partnerships and Development team acts as a central hub for Internationalisation at City. It both oversees delivery of a range of university-wide international initiatives and undertakes activities to inform, embed and raise the profile of Internationalisation at City. Reporting to the Academic Director (Internationalisation) and located within the International Partnerships and Development (IPaD) Office, the part time (0.5FTE) Internationalisation Support Officer will provide operational support to the Academic Director (International) and the IPaD office, as well as supporting a number of strategic initiatives and projects with respect to Internationalisation. Responsibilities The role holder will provide administrative support to the Academic Director (International) and secretarial support to appropriate committees and working groups. They will support outbound and inbound visits including senior delegations from key prospective and existing partner institutions; providing logistical support to City staff (i.e. organising flights, accommodation and visas). In addition, the role holder will manage information on City's exchange partnerships and assist with other Internationalisation initiatives as required including desk based research, drafting reports and developing processes to support effective information exchange.
Requirements: The role holder will be educated to A- Level or equivalent with experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment. They will be excellent multi-taskers with experience of providing administrative support to committees and working groups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, together with IT literacy, numeracy and a keen eye for detail. The role holder will be highly personable and adept at building rapport with stakeholders at all levels. A flexible, proactive approach to work will be essential as will good problem analysis and solving skills. The role holder will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
